Ragweed Greenhouse
Summer Research Program students construct a hoop house for a large, EPA-funded climate change experiment investigating the impacts of increased carbon dioxide on ragweed pollen production. As the climate changes, researchers predict that the ragweed plant―the leading cause of hayfever nationwide―may increase its pollen production, creating new allergy hotspots in the Northeast.
