Harvard LTER Schoolyard Program
Learn about and initiate ecology research in your classroom and schoolyard. Your students can learn to collect data on important long-term ecological issues and processes. Their data will be used to enhance scientific research being done at Harvard Forest. Students' data will be posted on the Harvard Forest website and used by citizen scientists studying long-term ecological phenomena. You don't need to be a science expert to get a real life, important research project started in your school. Our schoolyard coordinator will provide you with the materials and classroom/field assistance needed to get going. She can also facilitate communication with scientists at Harvard Forest who are studying related concepts. Schoolyard Research Topics:
